Your student could lose out on thousands of dollars for college.

Don't let that happen. If your student is graduating from high school in 2015 or is already in college, they need to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). To get the most financial aid, your student's application needs to be turned in by March 1.

Make sure they do it right. Bring your student to a MI College Goal event to have an expert help them fill out the FAFSA — FREE!

Not sure about college? Have your student apply for the money now and decide later. If they wait, chances are they'll get less.

Here is what you need to do:

  1. Save the date! Sign up for a reminder!
  2. Get your FAFSA PIN Number. This Personal Identification Number is how you sign your electronic FAFSA at a MI College Goal event. Parents and students each need their own PIN Number.
  3. Find your location.
  4. Print out a list of what you need to bring to the day of the event.
